The Fourth of July is a day that we Americans have the privilege and honor to celebrate our nation with our families. Freedom is something I take for granted and this time of year is always a good reminder to be extra thankful. A BIG thanks to all the men and women who have served our country!
This year my parents came to visit for the holiday. It is always nice to be with family to celebrate together.
On Sunday, Turkey, TX had a full day of festivities. We ate hamburgers, hot dogs, and homemade ice cream while visiting with friends in the park. That evening we watched the fireworks show put on by the fire department. It was spectacular! I’m impressed with the show, and it was obvious to everyone that a lot of hard work went into making it a success.
Here are some pictures of our time in Turkey. The fourth fell on a Tuesday this year, so we got to celebrate again a few days later.
On Tuesday my family and I spent the afternoon at my house enjoying the beautiful weather while relaxing. My brother and I created a 5×100 foot slip n slide! It was so much fun!
Rodney and my dad grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for a wonderful American style cookout.
We ended the day visiting and being thankful for all our freedoms.
